I will always protect her. But I am more than just a temporary bodyguard. I have a second chance to show her my love is worth fighting for, and I will claim her completely. Though I fight it, and will never admit it, my feelings for my ex had never died. As the heat between us flames to new heights, he tempts me with the possibility of a second chance at love. Please Note: Both Inescapable and Inevitable can be read as standalone novels in the expanding Oliveri Mafia series teaserThey ended on the floor, Nico’s body suspended above hers. His caresses branded her with an invisible “Mine” everywhere he touched, and she reveled in his claiming. “I won’t deny that all happened, but the only memory I took from my time in the hospital was you telling me you loved me for the first time. It wasn’t the meds or the staff that healed me then, it was you.” purchase informationBuy Links $4.99 US--https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WH5LTPM Series Link--https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099MW7L8M about the authorMelverna McFarlane loves stories with Happily Ever Afters. After years of characters taunting her imagination with their potential, she decided it was time to write her own scorching hot romances. She moved to America from Jamaica at a young age, and has lived up and down the east coast most of her life. The bitterly cold winter of 2013 was the last straw, driving her back to island life—this time to Hawaii. When not writing, she is reading romance, YA, and Fantasy, country hopping, or vicariously obsessing over other people’s cats (she awaits the day her landlords succumb to the truth: feline domination should be everyone’s goal in life). find imeldaWebsite: https://www.melvernamcfarlane.com

This is the first book I ever wrote and I love it so much. If you're a fan of the TV show Quantum Leap or the movie Sliding Doors, then this is the one for you. It is now available as a Ebook, Paperback and on Kindle Unlimited. I discovered Kendall Talbot's debut novel Lost in Kakadu when it won the Romantic Book of the Year 2014. I read it and was blown away by its originality. Kendall's second novel Treasured Secrets is more of the same with fantastic characterisation, an adventure story, twists and turns, and what I have to say is one of the creepiest villains that I have read in a while. Rosalina and Archer are former lovers who are brought together again when they embark on a treasure hunt that will uncover Archer's secrets and put their love to the test. This was a fun read and if you're looking for something that has an adventure, love story, and mystery in one, then this is the book you should read. What is the inspiration behind your latest release? I guess I’d have to say my many years working in marketing. Like Maddy, I’ve worked in advertising and marketing in various account manager / campaign management style roles. Often the demands of the job are intense, with long hours required, and I wanted to write about the challenge of finding and nurturing a relationship in this environment. Tell us about your writing journey/how you got published? I wrote a lot as a child and teenager and inevitably gave it up when I became a responsible adult. I decided to revisit it again around eight years ago as a creative outlet and because I felt like being a little less responsible again. The more I wrote, the more serious I became. Because of my background in marketing, I decided to self-publish my first novel, a paranormal romantic suspense titled Radiant. It had also been listed as a top ten finalist in the Romance Writers of Australia Emerald award, which gave me the confidence to put it out there. After that I decided to write something more light-hearted and The Boyfriend Sessions was created, which is the first book in my contemporary romance City Love series. I had a feeling it would be more appealing to publishers so started submitting and it was picked up by Momentum (Pan Macmillan). I was secretly thrilled about this as Momentum had been at the top of my wish list! Since then I’ve been contracted to complete the series, so four books in total. Maddy’s story, The Pitch, is the second book in the series. What is your writing routine? I am a very structured, organised individual – in every other aspect of my life! Sadly my writing routine has to be flexible to accommodate the demands of part-time work, looking after my school age son and everything else. I’m lucky I work from home so if I’m having a quiet work week, I’ll fit in an hour or so of writing whenever I can. Beyond that, when I’m in writing mode, I write on weekends and at night. I am quite disciplined though. When I was writing my last manuscript I committed myself to a weekly word count and writing five out of seven nights. I can’t keep that up all the time though, only when I’m writing the first draft! Share a writing quote/motto about writing. Just write. Not sure if that’s anyone’s quote, but it’s my motto. What is the one piece of advice about writing that has stuck with you? Similar to my motto: keep writing. The more you write, the better you get. And the more you write, the more likely you are to finish a book! What are you reading at the moment or what’s the last book you read and what did you like/not like? I’m reading Lisa Heidke’s latest release, It Started With A Kiss. She was actually my teacher at The Australian Writers Centre when I did her course on Popular Women’s Fiction, and we still keep in touch. The Pitch She’s in a long-term, committed relationship. She was named a top ten finalist in the Romance Writers of Australia Emerald Award in both 2013 and 2014. Her other addictions include music and cars. Belinda’s eclectic music taste forms the foundation of many of her writing ideas and her healthy appreciation for fast cars means she would not so secretly love a Lamborghini. For now she’ll have to settle with her son’s Hot Wheels collection and writing hot male leads with sports cars. Belinda lives in Sydney and blogs regularly about writing and reading here: www.belindawilliamsbooks.com It's week 3 of my Wattpad experiment. I have uploaded three chapters on the website and have had 26 reads and 3 votes. I have 13 followers, which is not much. So at this point the Wattpad experiment is not really making much gains, however it has given me much needed space and impetus to really think about my blurb and my cover. I had a cover that I made which was just a typical romance cover of man and woman in bed, however I wasn't happy with it. On the RWA threat I read this article about how self published authors are taking risks with their covers. My original concept was something quirky, but I backed away and went with the typical out of fear, then I realised I have nothing to lose. This is my ship and I can steer it however I want it and so I designed this new cover that I'm in love with. I've also been working on the blurb slowly. I usually have no trouble writing blurbs and my two romance novels and young adult novels I've had published in the past two years have featured the blurbs I wrote (with a few editorial tweaks), but this time around I've struggled to capture the essence of the story. However, once I had the cover that I was enthused about it all came together. Everything I've read about Wattpad emphasizes that it's about the community and that to get readers you have to engage, which is something I really struggle with. There is only so many hours in the day and with a demanding full time job as a high school teacher and finding writing time between corrections and lesson planning, I don't have much left. I was reading on a forum about how to get readers and a thread was posted by a Wattpad Ambassador here so my goal over the next few weeks is to implement some of these strategies. After being diagnosed with breast cancer Allegra Kenton finds new direction using her passion for vintage items by renovating a dilapidated mansion she inherited into a dance studio. When she meets Emmett Dennison and begins falling in love it seems that her new life is on track, until a mistake from her past puts everything in jeopardy. Can she hold onto her dreams and Emmett? Emmett Dennison had a plan: the right type of fiancé, the right time to get married, the right career rung, but his plan took a detour when he became a guardian to his autistic brother and his fiancé broke off their engagement. Now his life is all about the day to day, until he meets Allegra. She inspires him to dream again, but his fiancé’s betrayal makes it hard for him to trust. Will Allegra make him believe in happy endings? What is the inspiration behind your latest release? All that Sparkles was inspired by a dream I had. I woke up one morning, grabbed the pen and paper that’s always by my bed and jotted down the details before I forgot. I knew the boy and girl were in a mansion’s garden, the boy wasn’t supposed to be there and the girl’s father wouldn’t approve. I also knew their meetings had to be kept secret. From these few things, All that Sparkles was born. Tell us about your writing journey/how you got published? I’d been writing for seven years before I got ‘The Call’. I’d been unhappy at work and was trying to figure out what to do with my life when I decided I really wanted to focus on my writing. I took a week off work and spent the time writing my first novel. By the end of that week I had a 14,000 word completed story that was nowhere near long enough to be a book (plus it was extremely badly written!). I realized I needed some help, so I joined Romance Writers of Australia (RWA), found a wonderful critique group and my writing went from strength to strength. By 2013 I’d written two short romances (which will probably never see the light of day), four fantasy novels and a full-length contemporary romance. Then RWA announced they were having a submission panel at the national conference. Send in 3 pages and it might get read to a panel of editors and agents, who could then request the manuscript. I thought I’d give it a try, and sent my contemporary romance, What Goes on Tour. Four of the panellists requested the manuscript and a couple of months later, Joel from Momentum sent me an email saying he wanted to buy it! I think people may have heard my screams in the next state. What is your writing routine? I sit down at my desk about eight o’clock each morning. I open my email and try not to get sucked in. My aim is to read and respond to anything urgent and then ignore the rest until the afternoon. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn’t! I’ll then begin writing or editing, depending on what stage of the manuscript I’m at. Mornings are my most productive time so I like to get as much creative work done as possible straight away. After I break for lunch I might write or edit for a bit longer depending on whether I’ve hit my targets for the day. Around three o’clock my brain decides it’s had enough and I switch to the business side of things. I might update my website, arrange some promotion, do some online training – whatever is on my weekly plan. I try to finish around five o’clock but it can stretch to six. I do this at least five days a week and occasionally I’ll do other writing work on the weekends depending on my weekly/monthly plans. Share a writing quote/motto about writing. You can’t edit a blank page. This has been attributed to both Nora Roberts and Jodi Picoult, but it’s great. It reminds me that what I write in the first draft can always be fixed later so I don’t get stuck on needing each sentence to be perfect. What is the one piece of advice about writing that has stuck with you? Time is the best editor. I was told this by Anna Jacobs when I first started writing. She said when you finish your manuscript, put it in a drawer and come back a year later. You’ll find so many more things you can fix. Now I don’t leave my manuscripts quite that long, but I do try to write a quick dirty draft and leave it aside while I write something else and then come back to it. What are you reading at the moment or what’s the last book you read and what did you like/not like? I’ve just finished How To Market A Book by Joanna Penn. I chose it as part of my training schedule and it was fantastic. There was so much comprehensive information in it that my copy is now covered in different coloured tags. I’m going to have to sit down and work out an action plan about what to do next. All the Sparkles blurb Imogen Fontaine is living every girl's dream. Then one school holidays when she’d run out of books to read, her mum handed her ‘Hot Ice’ by Nora Roberts and she instantly fell in love with romance novels. The love of reading soon turned to a love of writing and Claire struggled to keep within the 1500 word limit set by her teachers for any creative writing assignments. When she finally decided to become serious about her stories, she joined Romance Writers of Australia, found her wonderful critique group and hasn’t looked back. When Claire’s not reading or writing she can be found in the garden attempting to grow vegetables, or racing around a vintage motocross track. If she can convince anyone to play with her, she also enjoys cards and board games. Claire lives in Western Australia, just south of Perth, with her husband, who loves even her most annoying quirks, and her grubby, but adorable Australian bulldog.
